The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Mets 5-1 last night in LA.
Mets starter Oliver Perez couldn’t get the job done once again.
While the Mets hitters certainly didn’t help, you can’t allow three
homeruns in a single game. Although Mets manager Willie Randolph seemed
not to have a problem with his performance. “Obviously, it’s a better
game if you compare the two,” Willie Randolph
said, referring to last week’s blowout at the hands of the Pirates at
Shea. “He didn’t pitch that bad, really. He kept us in the game.”
Way to raise the bar for your players Willie!
Nelson Figueroa starts tonight, and I hope he can pitch as well as his first 2 starts against the Dodgers.
Something to share with all Mets Fans
Here is a video clip of Nelson Figuero throw the last pitch in Taiwan, which the team won the Taiwan Series. He also was the MVP of the Series.

I hope he can do just that for the Mets this year
